Stance

Navana studies consciousness across traditions and disciplines — education over spectacle. The aim is thoughtful discernment: enough clarity to practice with respect, and to know what supports your own path.

A note on scope. The Academy is educational, contemplative, and communal. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or a cure for any condition. If you are in crisis, call 988 (US) or local emergency services.

Curriculum

Fields of study

Eleven fields. Hover or focus on any one to read a line about it.

  • Meditation Returning attention to what is already here, again and again.
  • Contemplative traditions Studying paths that have long asked how awareness meets life.
  • Consciousness Inquiry into the nature of mind, presence, and experience itself.
  • Natural medicine education Clear, respectful context for plant and practice traditions — education, not prescription.
  • Integration How insight settles into relationships, work, rest, and ordinary days.
  • Somatic awareness Listening through the body as a doorway to presence.
  • Philosophy Asking carefully what we mean by self, meaning, and liberation.
  • Neuroscience Grounding contemplation in what science currently understands about mind and brain.
  • Indigenous & historical contexts Honoring lineages and histories with accuracy and humility.
  • Altered states Studying non-ordinary experience with discernment, not romance.
  • Responsible practice Safety, consent, screening, and knowing when not to proceed.

Invitations

Ways to learn

Three ways to take part. Begin when the time feels right.

Teachings

Talks and study in meditation, consciousness, and responsible practice.

Schedules and offerings: [academy schedule TBD]

Circle

Peer sharing and open conversation each week: a place to be heard, to listen, and to stay connected between retreats. Sessions meet on Zoom, and the community continues on WhatsApp. Invite links go to participants directly and are not posted here.

Daily practice

Small returns to awareness: breath, body, a pause. Consistency matters more than intensity.

Guided materials: [practice library TBD]

Aftercare

The experience ends.
The practice begins.

After teachings, the Circle, and retreats, insight needs time and companionship to settle into daily life. Integration support is relational and educational. It is not clinical treatment, or a substitute for licensed care when that is what you need.
